This article walks through the steps to connect an EyeAllow & Access200 to the Identity Server using the web interface.
NOTE: Please ensure that both the Identity Server and edge devices are on the same network.
Also, please ensure that 1-way traffic isn't blocked on your network, or else the device(s) may face connectivity issues.
In order to do this, you must have your IDS IP Address. It can be found under Settings > Network > IP Address
Web Interface
Using a web browser, navigate to the web page of the device. This URL would be:
https://<IP-Address-of-device>
A new or non-connected device will start up and display "Set me up!", with the IP address of the unit displayed on the screen.
Access200 displaying the IP address
For the pictured Access200, the URL would be:
After navigating to this page, you will see boxes to login. The default credentials are:
Username: admin
Password: password
Enter those and login to the web page.
After logging in, see a blue button which says "Connect to Identity Server". Click that.
After clicking the button, you will need to enter the IP address of the Identity Server (found under Settings > Network > IP Address), the username of a user with the Admin role, and the password of that user. You will also need to select to Allow or Refuse self-signed certificates. Typical installations will allow self-signed certificates.
The IP address of the Identity Server can be found in the Hypervisor of the Virtual IDS or on the front screen of the IDS physical appliance. The port of the IDS application (8443) will also need to be included.
Enter the information that pertains to your installation. For this example, the IDS IP address is https://192.168.2.147:8443, and the username is "admin".
After the information has been entered, click "Test Connection".
If a connection is successful, the screen will display a green check with the text "Connection successful". Then click "SAVE" to save the connection.
Once the connection is saved the screen will change and show a green check and the text "Connected to Identity Server at" and then display the IP address that was configured. The device will display the screensaver and is ready to be used.
Refer to article 5.8. Troubleshooting if "Connection successful" is not displayed after you click Save.
