Princeton Identity's access control solutions support four different identity verification modes:
- Biometric Only - Users must only present their biometrics (face or iris) in order to gain access.
- Biometric OR Card - Users can choose to present either their biometrics or proximity card to gain access.
- Biometric AND Card - Users must present their proximity card and then their biometrics to gain access.
- Biometric ON Card - Biometric smart cards can securely store the user's face and/or iris templates. Users present their smart card containing their biometrics and then their biometrics to gain access.
NOTE: Modes utilizing card verification require connection to an external card reader or Princeton Identity's optional integrated card reader.
Each of the four modes are set on a per-device basis. For example, a facility administrator can set up exterior access points for Biometric or Card identification, and interior access for biometrics only. Identity control points for rooms requiring higher levels of protection could be setup for biometrics and card.
To access these settings, log into Identity Server, click System, and select the access point you wish to configure. On the new page that appears, click Settings>Mode>Change Identity Mode.
Select one of the four options and click Save.
