Both our EyeAllow & Access200 continue to offer versatility in many ways. One way is by providing users with the ability to modify many of the device's functions.
As you may be aware of, the devices have no internal battery, so they are unable to keep time when powered off. In order to keep the clock up to date, the devices rely on NTP to synchronize time with an external server. By default, the device will attempt to connect to an NTP server at the same IP address of the Identity Server it is connected to upon initial connection (software version 2.33.0 and later).
This behavior can be customized from the device's web interface ("Settings" > "Time"). The available options are either:
Use public pool.ntp.org for NTP Server:
Configures it to use https://www.ntppool.org/en/ (requires internet access)
or
Use custom NTP Server:
Allows a different IP address to be specified
Click "Apply" to save the setting. The NTP configuration changes will be applied, and the device's time should start synchronizing with the server.
Note: The webpage may logout if the time adjustment is significant (typically if changed by more than 10 minutes).
