IOM Access500e Software Installation Instructions

The IOM Access 500 Installer CD installs all pre-requisite software/drivers prior to installing the IOM Access500 software.

1. Connect monitor (VGA) cable from the Monitor to the computer.
2. Connect mouse and keyboard.
3. Install the Point Grey USB 3.0 Host Adaptor card.
   1. Power off computer and disconnect the power cable
   2. Install Point Grey USB 3.0 Host Adaptor Card (be sure to connect external power to the card using a IDE/SATA connector from the PC)
4. Connect IOM Access 500(E) unit to computer.
   1. Connect Iris cable to Point Grey card
   2. Connect Face cable to USB3 port
   3. Connect tilt and focus cables to USB2 ports
5. Start computer
   1. Connect power cable and turn on computer
   2. Using Windows Device Manager (Windows Start icon, type Computer Management -> Device Manager), verify that the Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller appears under Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
6. Install IOM Access 500 and all pre-requisite software
1. Insert IOM Access 500 Installer CD and (optionally) copy the Installer to C:\Work
2. Double click the “eyen-X.X.X.XXX.exe” application
3. Optionally select non-default location for installation by clicking on the Options button and browsing to desired location. Click OK.
4. Click Install
5. When complete, click Close. 
7. Disable Power Management on Renesas USB Host Controller.
   1. Computer Management -> Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers -> Renesas Electronics USB3.0 Host Controller
   2. Right click and select Properties and go to the Advanced tab.
   3. Check option to Disable USB 3.0 Power Management Functions
   4. Click OK
8. Reboot the computer.
