Our devices may require periodic proximity sensor calibration to retain maximum functionality.
On the device's webpage click on "DIAGNOSTICS" and then "Take offline for diagnostics".
On the device's screen you should see "This device is currently offline for maintenance".
On the device's screen, tap the "Settings" button.
Tap "Sensors", then "Proximity Sensor".
On this screen, you should see the "Sensor reading". This is an indication of how close someone/something is to the device. If you stand in front of the device, you should see the number increase, and if you step to the side of the device, you should see the number decrease. You should also see the "Distance" label change between "Near" and "Far" depending on where you are standing. When configured properly the Near/Far will change roughly 2 feet away from the front of the unit.
If you would like to recalibrate this sensor, you can click the "Calibrate" button. You will see the "Cancel" value at the top change depending on the calibration. A normal cancel value is less than 1000. During the calibration, ensure that you're not standing directly in front of the device, as this will greatly affect the reading.
