Required NetBox Settings
In order to use this integration, a user must set the following in the LenelS2 NetBox interface (5.4.3+, anything prior is unsupported):
1. Log into the LenelS2 interface.
2. Click the Settings icon , Site Settings
, Network Controller
3. On the Admin tab, check the following fields in the Person Data section:
- Enforce unique person IDs:
- Person ID required:
4. Click Save
5. On the Data Integration tab, check the following fields in the API section:
- Enable V2:
- Use Authentication:
- Use login username/password for authentication
6. Click Save
Integration Setup in Identity Server
1. Login to Identity Server from a web browser. The user logging in must have administrative rights.
2. On the Settings page, select Sync from the left-hand menu.
3. Click the SETUP SYNC button.
4. Select "S2 Netbox" from the drop-down menu and click the CONTINUE button.
5. On the S2 NetBox screen, the default settings will appear. Click "Edit Settings".
6. Make the following selections:
- Check for updates (Note: regardless of the option selected, an incremental sync will run every 30 to 60 seconds to check for changes)

- Manual – full sync only runs when the user clicks Run
- Automatic full scan every 12 hours
- Automatic full scan every 24 hours

- API Address (same as your LenelS2 NetBox IP address)
- Enter the API username and password
- Delete Missing People: if this box is checked, any profiles no longer present in NetBox will be deleted from Identity Server.
- Enroll Portrait Images: if this box is checked portraits will be used for enrolling the face and iris biometrics. This box must be check in order to use Princeton Identity’s Automatic Enrollment feature.
- Import Portraits: if this box is checked any portraits associated with profiles in NetBox will be included in the sync.
7. Click Apply
8. If you have selected Manual for Check for Updates the sync will not run until you click Run Now. If you have selected the 12- or 24-hour option, the sync will run as soon as you click apply, then every 12 or 24 hours thereafter.
9. Once the sync is complete you will be able to see all user profiles by clicking on the People page.
10. Click HOME on the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Here you will now see a notification that the IDS is due to synchronize with NetBox as well as the current progress of the synchronization process.
