Prerequisites
Identity Server supports integration with Security Center via the Security Center Web SDK. In order to use this integration, an additional license is required. Contact Genetec to obtain quantity 2 (for up to two simultaneous Web SDK connections) of part number GSC-1SDK-PRINCETONIDENTITY-ACS for your Security Center instance. Please consult the Security Center Administrator Guide in order to configure the Web SDK before attempting to set up this integration. Once you have confirmed the Web SDK is properly configured and licensed, make sure that port 4590 (the default port for Web SDK) is open on your Security Center server's firewall. Follow the instructions below to configure the integration with IDS.
Enabling the Web SDK:
Proceed to System, then Roles:
Click Add an Entity. Select Web-based SDK from the list:
Ensure that the entity's relationships and server name is correctly set:
Ensure that the entity's properties are set correctly:
You can verify that it is working by proceeding to this link in your browser: https://servername:4590 . The page should load, and prompt you to login.
The Genetec Security Center integration now also supports the synchronization of user portraits. However, in order for those portraits to meet the minimum image quality specifications required to support Princeton Identity's face recognition and Automatic Enrollment features there are settings that need to be changed in Security Center.
1. Log into Security Center.
2. Open the Access Control task in the Config Tool.
3. Click on the General settings tab at the top of the window.
4. In the section titled Miscellaneous, increase the Maximum picture file size to at least 5,000 KB (larger sizes can be used and will allow for higher resolution portrait images, but will consume a greater amount of storage space on the host server).
5. Click Apply.
