The following document provides instructions for configuring Identity Server to synchronize with ICT Protege GX & Schneider Electric Security Expert access control solutions.
NOTE: Prior to enabling the synchronization, please ensure that you have the SOAP, Web Client, and Single Record Download Services installed, or else it will NOT work.
Setup the Synchronization
1. Log into your Identity Server instance.
2. Click "Settings" along the top of the screen. Then click "Sync" on the left-hand side of the page.
3. In the sub-window that appears, click "Setup Sync". In the pulldown menu that appears, select ICT-Protege-GX, then click "Continue".
4. Click Edit Settings and set the following:
- Click the "Check for updates" pulldown and choose the desired update frequency:
- Manual – don't check for changes.
- Full scan every 12 hours
- Full scan every 24 hours
- Every minute
- API Address (The API address will be the DNS name of the system on which Protege GX is installed, followed by the system base port. For example, https://ict-gx.xyzcompany.com:8020.
- Username
- Password
- Delete Missing People: if this box is checked, any profiles no longer present in Protege GX will be deleted from Identity Server.
- Site ID: Database ID, found under Global > Sites
- Import Portraits: if this box is checked any portraits associated with profiles in Protege GX will be included in the sync.
- Enroll Subject Portraits: if this box is checked portraits will be used for enrolling the face and iris biometrics. This box must be check in order to use Princeton Identity’s Automatic Enrollment feature.
5. Click "Apply".
6. If you have selected "Manual..." for Check for Updates, the sync will not run until you click Run Now. If you have selected the 12, 24-hour, or every minute options, the sync will run as soon as you click Apply, then every 12 or 24 hours, or every minute, thereafter.
7. Once the sync is complete you will be able to see all user profiles by clicking on the People page.
8. Click HOME on the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Here you will now see a notification that the IDS is due to synchronize with Protege GX as well as the current progress of the synchronization process.
