The following document provides instructions for configuring Identity Server to synchronize with RS2's Access It! access control solution.
Setup the Synchronization
1. Log into your Identity Server instance.
2. Click "Settings" along the top of the screen. Then click "Sync" on the left-hand side of the page.
3. In the sub-window that appears, click "Setup Sync". In the pulldown menu that appears, select RS2, then click "Continue".
4. Click Edit Settings and set the following:
- Click the "Check for updates" pulldown and choose the desired update frequency:
- Manual – don't check for changes.
- Full scan every 12 hours
- Full scan every 24 hours
- API Address (The API address will be the DNS name of the system on which Access It! is installed, followed by the system base port. For example, https://rs2-test1.acmesystems.com:443.
- Delete Missing Subjects: If this box is checked, any profiles no longer present in Command Center will be deleted from Identity Server.
- Import Portraits: If this box is checked any portraits associated with profiles in Access It! will be included in the sync.
- Enroll Portrait Images: If this box is checked portraits will be used for enrolling the face and iris biometrics. This box must be check in order to use Princeton Identity’s Automatic Enrollment feature.
- Card Holder Filter: Name: This refers to the fields UserText, UserNumeric, & UserDate within the AccessIT! system. Any of the three can be used to filter card holders.
- Card Holder Filter: Value: This refers to the value entered in the fields. Card Holders can be filtered by a specified value.
5. Click "Apply".
6. If you have selected "Manual..." for Check for Updates, the sync will not run until you click Run Now. If you have selected the 12 or 24-hour options, the sync will run as soon as you click Apply, then every 12 or 24 hours thereafter.
7. Once the sync is complete you will be able to see all user profiles by clicking on the People page.
8. Click HOME on the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Here you will now see a notification that the IDS is due to synchronize with RS2 as well as the current progress of the synchronization process.
