Prerequisites
Identity Server supports integration with both Avigilon Alta & Unity via an application configured in the Avigilon Alta & Unity web pages. In order to setup the integration a user with the Super Admin role will need access (if not done so already).
Configuration
1. Log into your Identity Server instance.
2. Click "Settings" along the top of the screen. Then click "Sync" on the left-hand side of the page.
3. In the sub-window that appears, click "Setup Sync". In the pulldown menu that appears, select Avigilon or Alta Adaptor, then click "Continue".
4. Click Edit Settings and set the following:
Click the "Check for updates" pulldown list and select one of the sync frequencies:
Manual – don't check for changes.
Full scan every 12 hours, 24 hours, or every minute
Enter the email, password, and Organization ID associated with the account.
Note: The imported Organization ID (5-digit) can be found within the site link: (https://control.openpath.com/o/xxxxx), highlighted in the photo.
Delete Missing People: if this box is checked, any profiles no longer present in Avigilon Ulta will be removed.
Import Portraits: if this box is checked any portraits associated with the profiles in Avigilon Ulta will be included in the sync.
Enroll Subject Portraits: if this box is checked portraits will be used for enrolling the face and iris biometrics. This box must be checked in order to use Princeton Identity’s Automatic Enrollment feature.
5. Click "Apply".
6. If you have selected "Manual..." for Check for Updates, the sync will not run until you click "Run Now". If you have selected the 12, 24-hour, or every minute options, the sync will run as soon as you click "Apply", then every 12 or 24 hours, or every minute, thereafter.
7. Once the sync is complete you will be able to see all user profiles by clicking on the People page.
8. Click "HOME" on the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Here you will now see a notification that the IDS is due to synchronize with Avigilon Alta, as well as the current progress of the synchronization.
