IDS 2.254.0.5556 (Windows-Based Server Update & Installer) & Edge Device 2.254.0.6087 (released 2/13/26):
Identity Server:
- Starting with the Q4 2025 release, PI’s solution will adopt a new naming convention. Both the IDS and Edge Device software versions will be of the form: 2.254.0. <revision>. 2 will stay as the major, 254 is the year and quarter, & patch will start at 0. Princeton Identity recommends that IDS and Edge device SW be 'paired'... that is, if you are using 2.254.x.x for your edge devices, it is best to use 2.254.x.x for your IDS.
- AMAG Symmetry custom filtering; specified subsets of cardholders can now be designated for synchronization
- SMTP port 465 now allowed; increasing flexibility
- Minor stylistic improvements

Identity Server:
- Lenel OnGuard sync: Version 8.3 is now supported. If the Lenel access control system crashes or has downtime, the data and changes are populated into the Identity Server after the service recovers.
- Time and Attendance reporting now includes the option of displaying clocking in/out events & duration while using the device’s on-screen buttons.
- Credential editing improvements: Any card format saved in the IDS can be added, selected, or edited within the user’s profile.
- Minor stylistic changes.
Edge Device:
- Time and Attendance reporting: The device now has the option of being used as a single clock-in/out unit.
- Paychex authorization improvements: When using Paychex, the device processes the authentication faster, preventing delays.

- Multiple-face alerts: We now have warnings to inform the subject that enrollment or authentication was not possible due to multiple people being found in the field of view; also recorded in the encounters log.
- Email Notifications: We now have the option to send email notifications for an array of statuses, including but not limited to: Device connectivity, Syncing, Backup, User, Email Configuration, License, People’s face enrollment, Settings, Device tamper alerts and Device Settings
